Zanotta – Raperonzolo mirror D69

Raperonzolo mirror by the Swiss Atelier Oï is made with great craftsmanship and fine materials, such as woven leather.

When Zanotta asked us to design this collection of mirrors, which took the playful name of "Raperonzolo ", we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in a journey that taught us a lot about this undertaking. Zanotta has a particular savoir-faire: we refer to that set of qualities that allow us to live between tradition and modernity, combining craftsmanship with the technological skills of a contemporary design industry, and to do it with that pinch of irony and courage that can make the difference».

The three designers of Atelier Oï tell the story: Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond, who founded the Swiss studio in 1991.

The edge of the mirror is in leather woven gold color coupled with Alcantara® in the colors gold, blue and purple. The wall mounting is made with a bronzed metal plate.

Atelier Oï

Atelier Oï was founded by Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond in Neuveville, Switzerland, in 1991. The studio has been striving to dissolve barriers between genres and foster cross-disciplinary creativity for 20 years.  Over the course of its achievements, architecture, design and set design have intertwined on an international scale.

Multi-disciplinarity, team spirit and an intimate relationship with the material are the watchwords of its creative philosophy.  Experimenting is the main feature of Atelier Oï’s way of work, whose designs are often conceived by an intuitive and emotional affinity with the act of shaping different materials. Its projects have been recognized worldwide.

Atelier Oï has been working with Zanotta since 2015.

Zanotta

Founded in 1954, Zanotta is recognized as one of the major protagonists of the history of Italian design. In particular since the 1960s, guided by the intuition and extraordinary entrepreneurial ability of its founder Aurelio Zanotta, conquer the international scene thanks to emblematic products for formal innovation. The technological research supported by the continuous evolution of the quality of materials and production processes is one of the best in the world.

The cultured and precious history of Zanotta is renewed in 2017 in the union with Tecno starting a common project. This implies the consequent strengthening of synergies and commercial strategies at the international level under the guidance of Giuliano Mosconi.
