Francesco Forcellini was born in Milan and grew up in Florence, and graduated from Politecnico di Milano in Design Innovation.
In 2017 Francesco Forcellini founded his own studio in Milan after working in London and in the Netherlands for internationally recognised design studios and agencies.
He designs by analysing the essence of objects, their archetype, meaning and construction process, seeking innovation through new formal expressions. The key element of its design is elevating the material consistency, its physicality. This is pursued by reducing the formal complexity of the objects and enhancing their surfaces. Design for product innovation, using the physicality of the material to convey meaning. In 2020 he is listed among the best 30 international young talents. Currently the studio has designed for brands such as Cappellini, De castelli, Tonelli Design, Bentley, starting further collaborations with internationally recognized brands in the field of design.
