An icon of Italian design and the brainchild of designers Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina, the Tolomeo lamp was launched on the market in 1987. It embodies the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.
Artemide - Tolomeo Pinza aluminium wall lamp
The iconic head of Tolomeo becomes a light instrument that can be fixed anywhere thanks to a practical clamp. Sustainable and timeless, it is perfect to illuminate every living and working space.
Michele De Lucchi
Protagonist of radical architectural movements such as Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis. He has designed lamps and furniture for the most important Italian and European companies, realizing architectural projects in Italy and in the world. In 1990 he created "private production" to give continuity to the experience of Memphis and, above all, to design and create experimental objects, free from patronage, with maximum freedom of expression. He was awarded the Officer of the Italian Republic for merits in the field of design and architecture. He is also Full Professor at the Design Faculty of the Politecnico di Milano and Academic at the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome. Designed for Alessi the Electric Kettle Plissè.
Artemide
Technological research, dialogue with architects but also investigation are, indeed, for Artemide the basis of innovative projects able to illuminate the future.
Today Artemide collections represent a unique intersection of values. The human and responsible approach to light is combined with design and material know-how, in a meeting of the latest-generation technology and ancient knowledge, the perfect expression of sustainable design.
