Arik Levy
Arik Levy Israeli designer born in Tel Aviv in 1963, is a multidisciplinary artist ranging from art to photography, from installations to video art production. His works are part of the collections of galleries and museums all over the world. From 1992 to 1994, Levy taught at the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle / Les Ateliers in Paris and conducted design workshops in various design schools throughout Europe. In 1997 he founded 'L design', an independent studio in Paris, along with Pippo Lionni. The studio's activities extend from the creation of sculptures and installations to the development of industrial designs and everyday products. He current works in Paris, along with Pippo Lionni and the team of 20 designers making up L Design, founded in 1997, dealing also with brand identity, packaging, exhibition and interior design projects.
Bitossi Ceramiche
Bitossi is a historic identity of Italian manufacturing, present since the second half of the nineteenth century in the area of Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany. The Bitossi manufactory, today Bitossi Ceramiche, belongs to the family for five generations and has been located in the same place since 1921. The company in the year 2014 was included in the Register of Italian Historical Enterprises. Bitossi production until the end of the 1940s reflects the traditional taste linked to local production, and then evolved into unique creations exported worldwide that still represent the excellence of Made in Italy. Many designers have approached the production of Manifattura Bitossi over the years, creating new collections. First of all, the architect Ettore Sottsass, who started to collaborate the Bitossi factory from 1955 to experiment and created new modern ceramics.
