La designer si è ispirata ai mobili retinati dove un tempo si conservavano gli alimenti, sviluppando con un intelligente gioco progettuale un ricercato effetto moiré creato dal passaggio della luce tra due reti sovrapposte.
CSA
The Centro Studi Alessi (CSA) was founded in 1990 with a dual mission: to develop theoretical contributions on topics related to the object and coordinate work with the world of young emerging design to which Alessi wanted to open. Entrusted to Laura Polinoro, a young semiologist suggested by Alessandro Mendini, the CSA has carried out design workshops practically all over the world. With the CSA have experimented with new approaches to design, based on the creation of scenarios in which to dialogue more disciplines, involving different professional figures around topics not dictated by needs of a practical nature, but by more subtle needs, emotional, affective. The CSA closes in 1998, part of its activities continue to be curated by Laura Polinoro through the Laura Polinoro Workshop (LPWK).
Susan Cohn
Influential Australian silversmith, designer of small objects and jewelry that produces directly in small series in her small efficient laboratory in Melbourne, Susan Cohn (Sydney ,1952) is also an active lecturer in international design schools.
Alessi founded in 1921 as a Workshop for the processing of brass and nickel-silver plates, with foundry, it is recognized for the high quality of its products. In nearly a century of history it has gradually evolved to become a leading exponent of the "Factories of Italian design".
