In 2003 Pesce met Andrea Corsi and shared the magic formula and entrusted him with the creation of a new range of products. The visionary shapes created by Fish Design for more than 20 years, by the hands of Gaetano Pesce first and Andrea Corsi later, have become a chapter in the history of design. Gaetano Pesce, architect / artist / designer, is author of numerous works of architecture, urban planning, interiors, exhibitions, industrial design and publishing.
The innovative aspects of his work are many and varied: the search for a double functionality in architecture and objects, the creative use of color, the 'political dimension' in his projects, the perfectionism in the use of materials, the culture of objects.

Gaetano Pesce

Gaetano Pesce was born in La Spezia in 1939 and graduated from Architecture of Venice, he achieved a prominent position in numerous fields – architecture, interior design, graphic design. He has carried out numerous projects, such as: the Hubin house in Paris, the organic building in Osaka, the mourmans gallery in Knokke-le zoute, Belgium. But also important are the Schumann residence in New York and the glass elements of the Palais des beaux arts in Lille. His fame as an architect is also due to his experimentation in the field of industrial design and furnishings which led to the development and creation of armchairs, such as the up series, tables and lamps. For a long time he has been entertaining relationships with important companies such as B&B italia Italia, Cassina and Vitra international. He also gave birth to the New York companies Fish design and open Sky for the development and production of objects, lighting elements and jewellery. Gaetano Pesce's works are exhibited in the permanent collections of some of the most important museums in the world: the museum of modern art and the metropolitan museum of art in New York, the museum of modern art in San Francisco, the Victoria and Albert museum in London , the musée des arts décoratifs and the center Geoges Pompidou in Paris and the musée des arts décoratifs and the center canadien d'architecture in Montréal. In 1996 a major retrospective of his work was held in Paris at the center Geoges Pompidou.

Corsi Design represents the encounter between the art of Gaetano Pesce and the craftsmanship of Andrea Corsi, through pieces which stimulate the senses and awaken emotions. By expanding the heritage of the visionary art-designer Gaetano Pesce, from 2003 to today, the artisan Andrea Corsi has brought the range of Fish Design resin products to increasingly high levels of quality, experimenting with the material, trying to subdue its fluctuating character, paying a meticulous attention to details. Years of experience, trials, errors, intuitions and discoveries have led to a series of collections in constant evolution, thank to the collaboration with internationally acclaimed designers. Materials, colours and shapes always create unexpected outputs, achieving the uniqueness of each piece.
