Mdf Italia - NVL Table round table in reconstructed stone
NVL Table is designed by French architect Jean Nouvel for MDF Italia. The distinctive features of his architecture are fully manifested in this table and enhance the stylistic elements that have always distinguished the work of Jean Nouvel, that is pure geometric shapes, formal lightness, graphicity, rigor.
The simplicity of the forms dialogues harmoniously with the solidity of the material in a game of contrasts. The table top looks thin and light and seems to float above the base. The central support consists of two volumes that taper upwards and create two symmetrical bases to support the top.
Whether in the lacquered, glossy or matt version, or in the material variants in reconstructed stone, NVL Table reveals its extreme elegance in every environment.
The NVL table is available in the following variants:
• white, black and red matt lacquer;
• glossy lacquered (polyester) white, black, red,
coral red, dunes, navy blue and English green;
• materials in reconstructed Serena stone,
lime white reconstructed stone, slate black, yellow onyx,
pink onyx, brick red and sage green.
Jean Nouvel
Jean Nouvel was born in 1945 in Fumel, France. The first approach to design stems from the need to create objects for one's own architectures, such as the Less table, produced by Molteni & C. for the headquarters of the Cartier Foundation. The design activity of the designers' Ateliers responds to the desire to develop a "design of architecture". After graduating from the National High School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1972, he opened his own studio. In 1981 he won the competition for the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. Since then he has received many awards: the Grand Prix National d'Architecture, the Gold Medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale and the Pritzker Prize, the nobel for architecture, in 2008.
