"The table also stands out from those already present in the collection, placing itself, thanks to the introduction of the fusion structure, as a versatile system that, with the multiplicity of configurations, generates tables of different shapes and sizes".
Antonio Citterio
Maxalto - Astrum round table d165
Astrum is the new collection of tables, rectangular, round and oval, which stands out for its particular "easel" base. The structure is formed by a single column of aluminum painted graphite or amber painted that, according to the shape of the table, consists of two or three elements to form trestles: two elements connected by a crossbar form the base for the rectangular tables, while three elements connected to the base by a steel ring form the support for the round tables.
The triangular section of the upright, rising from the ground with a slight slope, gives the structure lightness and solidity at the same time. The table tops are available in different finishes of wood and marble: brushed light oak, gray, brushed and smoked black or natural wenge with the possibility of a central marble insert; white marble Calacatta, black Marquinia, green Guatemala and Emperador, all with glossy finish, for a more precious expression of the table. Only for round versions it is possible to insert a swivel tray in wood or marble finishes. The table also stands out from those already present in the collection, placing itself, thanks to the introduction of the fusion structure, as a versatile system that, with the multiplicity of configurations, generates tables of different shapes and sizes.
