Artemide - Eclisse table lamp copper PVD

Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1965, she won the Compasso d'Oro in 1967 and became the representative of Italian design in the world.  Eclisse is a cutting-edge balance between form and function, design and utility. The basis of the concept lies in its functionality of adjusting the intensity of light through its rotating inner lampshade that "eclipses" the light source. In fact, with a fixed outer casing and a mobile inner casing, the lamp can provide direct or diffuse light.
Table lamp, can also be wall mounted. Painted metal body available in white, red or orange with on/off switch.  Eclisse is part of the permanent collection of the most important design museums, including the moma in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.

Vico Magistretti

Born in Milan on October 6, 1920. He comes from a family of architects from many generations. In 1956 he was among the founding members of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, and was part of the jury of the Compasso d'Oro Prize.
The attention paid to the theme of living will eventually monopolize his activity as an architect, making him develop an extremely expressive language. Magistretti is one of the fathers of the so-called Italian Design, a phenomenon that he himself defines as "miraculous" and that could only occur thanks to the meeting of two essential components: architects and manufacturers.
At the end of the 60s he began collaborating with producers, including Artemide, Cassina and Oluce, creating objects that will remain the "classics" of design.
