Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby

Edward and Jay Osgerby founded their own studio in East London in 1996 after studying architecture together at the Royal College of Art. Their approach is characterized by an emphasis on experimentation and innovation and an exploratory attitude towards materiality and colour.From these areas of interest emerge solutions affecting the close relationship of their work with industrial processes and new technologies, but also affinities with the fine arts. The strength of Barber and Osgerby's creative partnership has allowed to collaborate with some of the world's most innovative companies and a variety of architectural, interior, sculpture, product, and exhibition projects.
Among their many honors, Barber and Osgerby received the Jerwood Award in 2004, and in 2007 they were awarded the status of "Royal Designers for Industry." In 2013 they were named members of the Order of the British Empire for their services to the design industry.

The name "Flos" which means "Flower" in Latin, has as its origin a bright thought: the idea of giving birth to objects suitable for changing the way of living from a light bulb.

The Italian Company has designed icons in the design world, specialized in the production of lights and lighting systems.

Among all the Arco floor lamp, the Parentesi and Taraxacum suspension lamps (on the cover) by Achille Castiglioni, the famous Taccia lamp, the Aim, the Toio, collections of unmistakable elegance such as the String Light and other ultra-contemporary solutions, collaborating with the best known designers and architects on the national scene.

Among them, Philippe Starck and Antonio Citterio are respectively the fathers of the D'E-light table lamp and the Kelvin LED desk lamp.
