The iconic Tizio series designed in 1972 by Richard Sapper includes desk lamps available in different sizes and finishes. It is an extremely functional halogen lamp with an adjustable head that allows great flexibility and a direct emission on the worktops. A collection of lamps that perfectly combines form and function thanks to a slender and flexible structure and an adjustable head balanced by counterweights.
Richard Sapper
He began his career as a designer in the style department of Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart, then moved to Milan in 1958 to work with the architect Gio Ponti and in the design division of "La Rinascente". In the early sixties Sapper began to collaborate with the Italian architect Marco Zanuso. Renowned for their aesthetic of sculptural minimalism, they develop a series of televisions and radios for Brionvega, the lightweight stackable children’s chair K1340 for Kartell and the compact folding phone Grillo for Siemens/ Italtel. In 2012 Sapper received the Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany.
