Mario Botta
Mario Botta; born in 1943 in Ticino, began his career as an architect, collaborating with Carlo Scarpa, Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn. His architectural language, from the first single-family houses in Ticino, to the Maison du Livre, de l'Image et du Son in Villeurbanne to the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, is defined as "simple, archaic, eternal, made of bare evidence and intense sensations".
