Davide Groppi - Anima table floor lamp 3000K
Filiform sculpture, light, ephemeral, abstract, is an ideogram without weight. Absence and essence of light. It is the emotion of an indirect light with an aesthetic poised between Scandinavia and Japan, two apparently distant cultures, but in reality very close together. On top, an unbroken circle of thin metal, almost a hook for anime fishermen. Anima is a lamp to be used on the ground or on low furniture, to be kept close to itself or to be used to create depth.
Power supply on plug with USB socket and interchangeable plug. On/off and touch dimming.

Davide Groppi
Since the end of the eighties, starting from a small laboratory in the historic center of Piacenza, Davide Groppi invents and produces lamps with the homonymous brand. Over time, creative and entrepreneurial independence allowed him to develop original and recognizable projects, distributed all over the world. Projects that come from the heart and the brain, intuitions that emerge from a certain way of being and thinking, where simplicity, lightness, emotion, invention and wonder are the fundamental elements.
Davide Groppi lamps are born from the need to give shape to a necessity or a meaning.
His inspirations are art, ready-made, magic, the desire to do things with his hands or simply the desire to play and joke with the light. The light, for Davide Groppi, is also a wonderful opportunity to seduce and excite. Davide Groppi has always worked with a close-knit group of collaborators, with whom he shares all the ideas. During his many years of activity, Davide Groppi has developed projects and installations together with various design companies including: De Padova, Boffi, Paola Lenti and Christofle. There are countless works around the world: homes, shops, museums.
History
In 1985 he began working as a mechanical designer, but it was not until 1988 that he began to invent, build and sell lamps. In 1994 he had the good fortune to meet Maddalena De Padova who, inexplicably, decided to buy 40 pieces of my model (Baloo) and to exhibit them all together in the space of Corso Venezia at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
