Artemide - Alphabet of Light Rectangular suspension lamp push Artemide app
Alphabet of light is a language of light to communicate freely. It’s an elementary principle that generates an open system. Starting from an abacus of essential geometric elements, BIG draws a new font that translates into light. Alphabet of light allows you to draw even with graphic signs the light in space.
The circular element, available in two diameters, is divided into modules that allow to join the linear elements according to different angles drawing different geometries from time to time. These simple basic modules, with precise geometric proportions, can be combined together to create infinite light structures, essential or more complex, linear or curvilinear. Thus defining suspensions that enter the space following the architecture or functionality of the spaces. The idea of BIG is combined with the optoelectronic expertise of Artemide to define an innovative construction principle and return a continuous and comfortable light.
BIG is a group of architects, designers and thinkers working in the fields of architecture, urbanism, research and development, and has created a reputation for completing buildings with programming and innovative techniques as they have cost and resource awareness. Projects recently completed by BIG include the Danish Maritime Museum (2013), Superkilen (2012), 8 House (2010) in addition to our first Copenhagen Harbor Bath project (2003)an urban space that has transformed the Brygge Islands area into a recreational and social center of the city. Current projects under construction are: West 57th, a 750-unit residential building in Manhattan; the Vancouver House tower in Vancouver; the LEGO Brand House in Denmark; the Faroe Islands Education Center; the Shenzhen Energy Mansion in China and the Copenhagen Incinerator with a ski slope on the roof.
Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, chairman, the Artemide Group is located in Pregnana Milanese. It operates through 24 subsidiary and associated companies and boasts a distribution network including 55 single-brand showrooms in the world's most important cities. Technological research, dialogue with architects but also investigation are, indeed, for Artemide the basis of innovative projects able to illuminate the future.
Today Artemide collections represent a unique intersection of values. The human and responsible approach to light is combined with design and material know-how, in a meeting of the latest-generation technology and ancient knowledge, the perfect expression of sustainable design.
