Flos - Chasen black suspension lamp

Suspension lamp providing diffused lighting. Chemically photo-etched stainless steel body and borosilicate diffuser. Liquid paint protection. Die-cast aluminum base, 30% fiberglass-reinforced polyamide ceiling rose attached to a pressed and galvanized steel ceiling fixture. In this version the light emission can be adjusted by means of a mechanical movement that opens the louvers, thereby varying the shape of the luminaire. Steel suspension cable, FEP/PVC power cord of the same color as the luminaire.

Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola; she was born in Oviedo, Spain. After studying at the University of Architecture in Madrid, she graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni and in 2001 she opened her studio. Being a designer as much Spanish as Italian has certainly influenced her work, bringing together the rigor of a Milanese education with a whimsical side coming from her origins. She has created several projects and collections for Molteni & C. The Diamond table won the Red Dot Award as the best product of 2005. In the 1990s, she worked on the development of the De Padova product, where he met Vico Magistretti, and developed projects for interiors, showrooms and restaurants. She designs architectures and products for international companies, capable of capturing the attention of the general public. Patricia Urquiola received many awards and recognitions, such as the Wallpaper Design Award, the Elle Decor International Design Award and the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award.
