Flos - Diabolo cherry red suspension lamp
Pendant light with direct lighting designed by A. Castiglioni, composed of a ceiling rose and diffuser. Body in aluminium with external paint in 3 different colour options (shiny white, beaver brown, and cherry red), while the inside of the diffuser is shiny white. The diffuser may be moved vertically from 95 to 210 cm using the cable reel within the ceiling rose. The light source has an E27 socket.
Achille Castiglioni
Achille Castiglioni was born in Milan in 1918 and in 1940 he dedicated himself to industrial production tests along with his brothers Livio (1911-1979) and Pier Giacomo (1913-1968). After graduating in architecture in 1944, he began research in the field of forms and new materials with the aim of developing integral design. He was one of the founders of ADI in 1956. In 1969 he taught "Artistic Design for Industry '', he was also a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Turin until 1980, then a professor of "Industrial Design" in Milan until 1993. Since 1950 he has been active in the field of research and experimentation of exhibition installations (Triennale di Milano, Montecatini, Agip, Rai). Fourteen of her works are exhibited at the MoMA in New York. Other works are present in museums: Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Kunstgewerbe Museum (Zurich), Staatliches Museum fur Angewandte Kunst (Munich), Design Museum (Prato), Uneleckoprumyslove Prague Museum (Prague), Israel Museum (Jerusalem), The Denver Art Museum, Vitra Design Museum (Weil am Rhein), Angewandte Kunst Museum (Hamburg and Cologne). Between 1984 and 1986 a personal exhibition of his was organized by the Museum fur Angewandte Kunst (Vienna), then at the Akademie der Kunst (Berlin), the Milan Triennale (Milan), the Kunstgewerbe Museum (Zurich), the Haags Gemeentemuseum (The Hague), the Circulo de Bellas Artes (Madrid) and the Center Georges Pompidou (Paris). He was awarded nine Golden Compasses. Achille Castiglioni died in 2002.

Among them, Philippe Starck and Antonio Citterio are respectively the fathers of the D'E-light table lamp and the Kelvin LED desk lamp.
