Flos - Parentesi D nickel suspension lamp

Lamp with direct light. The lamp moves vertically through the sliding of a shaped tube in painted or nickel-plated steel on a steel cable from ceiling to floor (length 4000 mm). Head of the device in injection moulded black elastomer. On the cable there is an electronic dimmer that allows the adjustment of the brightness of the light.

Achille Castiglioni

Born in Milan in 1918. As early as in 1940 he dedicated himself to the  industrial production testing along with his brothers Livio (1911-1979) and Pier Giacomo (1913-1968). After graduating in architecture in 1944, he began research in the field of forms, techniques and new materials with the aim of developing an integral design process.
He is one of the founders of ADI in 1956. In 1969 he received permission from the Ministry of Education to teach "Artistic Design for Industry", was professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Turin until 1980, then professor of "Industrial Design" in Milan until 1993.

Among them, Philippe Starck and Antonio Citterio are respectively the fathers of the D'E-light table lamp and the Kelvin LED desk lamp.
