Louis Poulsen - OE Quasi Light suspension lamp black

The suspension is composed of two contrasting but interconnected geometric shapes. The outer layer is a rigid aluminum icohexahedron-shaped frame with 20 triangular faces. Inside the frame floats the inner shape of a white polycarbonate reflector as the geometry of a dodecahedron with 12 pentagonal faces. The LED lights are integrated into the upper corners of the aluminum frame connected to the light guides along the inner edges, creating a uniform illumination towards the reflector in the center of the lamp. The light is directed towards the reflector in the center, creating a spherical lighting that diffuses into the surrounding environment. The complex geometric shape of OE Quasi is perceived differently according to the position of the observer and creates an infinite number of interpretations and perspectives. With its incredible shape, the OE Quasi will illuminate and visually interact with any space.

Olafur Eliasson

Artist Olafur Eliasson (Iceland/Denmark), born in 1967, works in a wide range of media, including installation, painting, sculpture, photography, and film.
