Louis Poulsen - Enigma 425 suspension lamp black
Enigma 425 was designed by Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama in 2003. These are floating screens held by ultra-thin cables for a light and transparent effect. The enigma name stands for "mystery" and refers to the screens that seem to hover when illuminated and observed from a distance. The idea was in line with Louis Poulsen’s product philosophy and was also a new interpretation of the multi-screen system, where Japanese elegance was combined with Scandinavian simplicity. In 2018, the original aluminum lamp was joined by the new black edition that expands the decorative possibilities of the design and creates a serene and atmospheric visual effect, while the light is shaped and channeled. The luminaire emits glare-free, soft and comfortable light directed downwards. The screen design ensures uniform surface illumination. The opaque upper surface diffuses light, while the glossy lower surface ensures optimal reflection.
