Ingo Maurer - WillyDilly suspension lamp

Willydilly by Ingo Maurer is a curved suspension lamp made of high quality cardboard and transparent to light. The white cardboard lampshade wraps around the light source and is attached to the traction cable by a Japanese fluorescent clip. The cable as well as the canopy, drawn in a shape reminiscent of a cone, are homogeneously white. The respective owners of Willydilly are called to create their own "shade swing": depending on whether the lampshade is turned narrower or wider, the luminaire takes on an individual shape thanks to creative freedom. The result is a wonderful play of light and shadow, which changes depending on the orientation: if you tighten the lampshade, the light emission is reduced to a discreet light; if the lampshade is wider and therefore more openly wrapped around the light source, The light diffuses more in the room and creates brightness. The height of Willydilly can be easily adjusted with the cable over the canopy. IngoMaurer; He completed his training as a typographer and then a graphic designer in Switzerland and Munich (1954-1958). In 1960 he opened a small artisan workshop, Design M, which has now become an international company called IngoMaurer GmbH. Since the mid-sixties Ingo Maurer has been creating special lamps, lighting systems and unique pieces which as an entrepreneur he produces and distributes worldwide with his own company. Ingo Maurer has been working with his team for decades, which has grown to over 60 people over the years. Since 1970, the headquarters of Ingo Maurer GmbH in Munich has been in the Schwabing district.A few years ago, however, the production and shipping departments moved to the suburbs of Munich because the space in the backyard at Kaiserstrasse 47 became too tight in 2005. From creating amps and lighting systems, the setting up of exhibitions and trade fairs presence resulted in an increasing demand for design, lighting planning and interior architecture work.
