Creativity and technological innovation come together in this luminous sculpture built with a two millimeter thick wooden material, laser engraved and bent like an origami thanks to a complex technological process patented by Horm.
Horm - Plywood Chandelier pendant lamp
The LED light, filtering through the holes of the structure, reproduces in the surrounding environment unique shadows that allow Steven Holl to give the same emotion that you breathe in his architecture, with a simple leap of scale.
Chandelier composed of a lampshade made with a material created and patented by Horm composed of a wooden sandwich (Canaletto walnut) and fabric thickness of 2.2 mm that, thanks to the surface incisions made with laser cutting, is bent like an origami. Fixing to the ceiling by means of steel plate and adjustable steel suspension wires.
The chandelier has two independent electrical circuits that power two bulbs to be installed in the upper part and n. 6 hot light LEDs pre-installed in the lower part. The upper bulbs project the light downwards while the LEDs project it laterally through the laser perforation of the lampshade, creating a magical play of shadows on the ceiling and on the surrounding walls. The use of two compact fluorescent bulbs 30W MAX or LED bulbs with E27 connection is recommended.
