Horm - Riddled Buffet sideboard

Riddled Buffet has great charm and elegance thanks to the sculptural volumes, already characterized by the perforated textures typical of many famous works by Steven Holl. The result is a multifaceted container, light and shiny like a diamond, but made of wood, according to the Horm style.

The Riddled Buffet consists of five different containers equipped with opening door with magnetic closure, made with a material created and patented by Horm consisting of a sandwich of ebony veneer and fabric that, Thanks to surface engravings made with laser cutting, it is bent like an origami. The containers are joined together by painted aluminium panels.

Steven Holl

Steven Holl was born in 1947 in Bremerton, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington and continued his studies of architecture in Rome in 1970. In 1976 he attended the Architectural Association in London and in 1977 he founded STEVEN HOLL ARCHITECTS in New York City.
Considered one of the most important architects in America, Steven Holl is recognized for his ability to blend space and light with great contextual sensitivity and to use the unique qualities of each project to create a concept-driven design.
He specializes in the seamless integration of new projects in contexts of particular cultural and historical importance. Steven Holl has been awarded with the most prestigious prizes and awards of architecture.
