Conceived as a real monolith of great formal rigor, it is an innovative rotating container on a fixed base with double opening. Equipped with an exclusive hidden mechanism of movement of the doors (with rotation and lateral translation), the cabinet is accessible on two sides in order to make the most of the double depth of the cabinet equipped for storage.
Unifor - Totem LessLess
The modular lessless system is enriched with new large swivel totems, drawers and storage containers. A distinctive feature of these furnishing accessories, which organize with rigor and discretion the daily work spaces, is the formal purity, which makes them similar to abstract monoliths. These swivel totems have a two-faced opening, where the doors move from one end to the other in order to make the most of the double depth. However the base is completely hidden in the structure, reaching the maximum formal essentiality.
Jean Nouvel
Jean Nouvel was born in 1945 in Fumel, France. The first approach to design stems from the need to create objects for one's own architectures, such as the Less table, produced by Molteni & C. for the headquarters of the Cartier Foundation. The design activity of the designers' Ateliers responds to the desire to develop a "design of architecture". After graduating from the National High School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1972, he opened his own studio. In 1981 he won the competition for the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. Since then he has received many awards: the Grand Prix National d'Architecture, the Gold Medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale and the Pritzker Prize, the nobel for architecture, in 2008.
Unifor
UniFor began manufacturing office furniture in 1969. From that time forward its production has continued to develop along a path that has earned the company its place as one of the main protagonists of five important decades in the history of Italian design. Collaborating over the years with prestigious, internationally renowned architects, both for the realization of new products and for the constant improvement of lines already in production, UniFor has made significant contributions to the success of the Made in Italy brand. UniFor was born with a precise vocation: to create interior landscapes that interpret and translate into reality the indications of its clients and those of contemporary architects. This commitment has involved the transfer of the artisanal culture of the wood-working district of Brianza, in northern Italy, based on close collaboration between industry and designer, to the international sphere, leading to the development of an organic and coordinated approach to furnishing public and private spaces according to their unique identities. Specialized in large-scale projects, with an all-embracing international presence and a close collaborative relationship with the most prestigious architectural firms, UniFor has operated since the very beginning (1969) as a factory workshop at the disposal of the best creative talents. Unifor products are standard, as much as possible; customized, when required. Unifor has the expertise and availability to develop and produce customized solutions to meet specific project needs.
