Opinion Ciatti - 5Blocks system of containers

Box blocks that are totally independent pieces but built so as to become one if placed side-by-side or stacked.

Containers in mdf with an unusual trapezoidal shape that one can combine according to need or taste. A collection of versatile and original volumes that are ideal to solve problems of space, thanks to their different depths, and designed to be hosted in any domestic environment. They can turn into an original chest of drawers or bedside table in the bedroom, or a TV stand or sideboard for the living room.

With drawers or flap system, depending on the measurements, they are available in 4 lengths.

A design that is so innovative and imaginative to be selected for ADI Design Index 2009.

Lapo Ciatti

Born in Florence in 1980, after his studies in Industrial Design at the Domus Academy in Milan, he began working at some of the most prestigious architectural studios in Florence, Milan and London. Determined to embark on an entrepreneurial path, before entering the family business he forms abroad, experience that will allow him to develop a multifaceted vision and open to contamination and a strong ability to grasp future trends.

Since 2011 he is CEO and Art Director of Opinion Ciatti. Deeply linked to his native Tuscany, he transformed this love for his land into a source of privileged inspiration for the productions of Opinion Ciatti. This is how the #FollowYourRoots collections were born, a journey through time in search of their roots to give meaning to what we are and breathe today. The union between present and past, the hashtag of communication 2.0, before those roots, to rediscover, fil rouge that unites proposals for living in the third millennium.

Opinion Ciatti

Opinion Ciatti is a company founded in 1950 in Florence that produces accessories and design furnishing including bookcases, tables and chairs; for the home, work and common spaces. A wide range of concrete and very identifiable objects, able with their presence, their touch, to characterise an atmosphere, personalise an environment. It all begins with an intuition of Rolando Ciatti. As a curious and attentive observer of a world that is changing so fast around him, he understands that a place in the house must be found for that strange, new object – the television - which was about to shake the Italians habit. That’s how Ciatti was founded, in Borgo San Frediano, in Florence Oltrarno, as the first company in Italy to produce TV benches. In 2003  the Ciatti family meets Bruno Rainaldi. Along they found CCR design, a new company focused on the development of home objects and accessories. Under the art direction of Mr Rainaldi, important names in Italian design start creating storage objects, chairs, mirrors, all characterized by a strong and bold personality. In 2004, Original Ptolomeo, the free-standing bookshelf by Bruno Rainaldi, wins the Compasso d’Oro award. Basic but revolutionary, new and with a great impact, as sudden as an intuition; Ptolomeo soon becomes the company’s best-selling item and an icon of contemporary design.
