Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

Ronan Bouroullec (born 1971) and Erwan Bouroullec (born 1976) have been working together for almost ten years. Their collaboration is a constant dialogue enriched by two distinct personalities and a common sense of zeal, in order to achieve greater balance and delicacy. In 1997 they presented their Disintegrated Kitchen at the Salone del Mobile in Paris and were noticed by Giulio Cappellini, who commissioned them the first industrial design projects. Since 2004 the Bouroullec brothers have been working with Magis, for which they have created two complete collections, Striped and Steelwood, as well as projects such as the Pila chair, the Pilo table, the Central and Tambour tables and this year’s new collection called Officina. Today Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec collaborate with numerous producers, including Vitra, Kvadrat, Magis, Kartell, Established and Sons, Ligne Roset, Axor, Alessi, Issey Miyake, Cappellini, Mattiazzi, Flos, Mutina, Hay, and more recently, Glas Italia and Iittala. At the same time they carry out an experimental activity essential to the development of their work at the Galerie kreo in Paris, which from 2001 to 2012 hosted four of their solo shows. They also occasionally engage in architectural projects.

Magis

A story of ideas, creativity and experimentation. Since 1976. This is the know-how that Magis brings to the world of design.
Established in Northern Italy as a family business, thanks to the ingenuity of visionary Eugenio Perazza it has become a major design laboratory for home, outdoor, office and contract and a global player in design field. Magis is a Latin word meaning “more“. And this is precisely the origin of the propulsive drive for experimentation. To be and do more. Magis has always believed in young and emerging talents, and over the years, the company has grown and experimented alongside many of them, now famous on the international scene. Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Philippe Starck, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Jerszy Seymour are just some of the designers who are part of the Magis family. An eclectic, versatile design that take up homes, public spaces and stands out in the permanent exhibitions of more than 35 museums around the world, and has won close to a hundred of the most prestigious awards including five Compasso d’Oro awards, the oldest and most authoritative worldwide design award.
