Magis - Brut sofa 3 seater
The starting point of this project was a very precise production process: cast iron. It is one of the oldest methods of working ferrous metals. Cast iron performs well in case of compression: in fact it is used as a structural material in the construction of bridges and, on a scale closer to that of furniture, as a basis for heavy machinery. It is this use of cast iron that inspired BRUT, a collection that includes armchairs, sofas, benches and tables.
The name evokes something crude, unfinished. A massive piece of heavy, inflexible iron. However BRUT also recalls the sweetness of sparkling wine, which tells us about refinement and elegance, qualities intrinsic to our project. 3 seater sofa with structure in polyester painted cast iron. Fireproof polyurethane foam cushions (class 1 IM) with removable cover in fabric.
