Avio, designed by Piero Lissoni, is the new, contemporary and versatile sofa component system, to reinterpret and make better use of any type of space. It is ideal for those who appreciate solid, elegant design that epitomizes a comfortable, relaxed lifestyle. Metal frame finish available in aluminium or black painted base and bright chrome base. Upholstery available in a range of fabric or Spinneybeck leather.
Knoll - Avio 2 seater sofa
Avio is built as a supporting structure: a steel truss fitted with ‘fingers’ to support seats, backrests, tables. This framework transforms into a flexible system that can give rise to an almost endless number of benches, two-seaters, three-seaters, chaise longues and tabletops. The padding ensures maximum comfort. It can be dressed up in leather or fabric and can accommodate cushions. It has a pure and
precise beauty, and is ideal for any purpose: resting, conversing, reading, listening to music, sleeping, watching a film, having an aperitif.
Frame: seats and tables are suspended on a central beam structure made in heavy gauge tubular steel. These beams are interconnected to obtain several configurations and attached to the legs.
Upholstery: each seat is attached to the metal structure through an individual frame. Seat and back cushions with variable density foam covered with polyester fiberfills to enhance comfort. Slip covers are completely removable.
Avio is now also presented in a more compact version.
