Francesco Binfaré

Francesco Binfaré is an intellectual, artist and designer, with Edra has a deep and consolidated path over the years. Born and living in Milan, he learned drawing and painting from his father. Since 1960 he has worked in the industrial field, mainly as artistic director of research centers and project promotion. And involving architects and designers in the creation of products destined to become historical pieces of Italian and international design. In 1992, he was called by Massimo Morozzi to design for Edra. The meeting also marks the beginning of a new season, with the invention of large sofas, with extraordinary expressive and innovative strength.

edra is the contraction of exedra, which, in Greek and Roman grand buildings, was a room completely open on one side, with seats in the atrium. A courtly place made for talking and socialising. edra was born in 1987 in Tuscany. Today it is known all over the world for the absolute quality of its products, that join artistic tradition, technological research, high manual expertise and very high quality materials.
