Kristalia – Mustache SA Charcoal small carpet
Mustache is a collection of carpets designed by Paolo Zani. Created to meet the needs of outdoor spaces, it has evolved into a range of versatile furnishing accessories ideal for any space. Featuring a melange weave with edge trims in several colours and fringes, the carpets are weaved on handlooms: such fine craftsmanship and tailored quality makes each one of them unique. Made from a polypropylene fibre yarn, Mustache carpets are available in three designs in two or more colours and in two standard sizes, or can be customised on request. They are highly resistant, even when exposed to sunlight or humidity.
Paolo Zani
Born in 1960 in Cesena, In 1986 he graduated in Ceramic Design and Technology at ISIA in Faenza; Since 2001 he has been art director of Cierre Accessories, publishing company of table accessories. Between 1993-94 he was Art Director of Lumen Center, a manufacturer of luminaires, whose coordinated image and exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Since 1992 he produces 'Warli', his own collection of carpets made in India according to traditional weaving partly distributed by 'Moroso'. Since 1994 he has been Professor of 'Industrial Design' at ISIA in Faenza Since 2001 he has been Professor of 'History of Design' at the European Institute of Design - Dip. Visual Communication of Milan 1991 Seminar on 'Italian Design of the 80s'. National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. 1987 Assistant to Francesco Binfarè at the 'Summer Session', Domus Academy, Milan. 1998 Visiting Professor at the 'Kent Institute of Art & Design' 2000 Visiting Professor at the NCAD in Dublin 2001 Visiting Professor at the Kuopio Academy of Design, Finland.
Kristalia
Kristalia was founded in 1994 by the ingenuity of two Friulian entrepreneurs, united by their passion for design and jazz, they discovered completely new areas for design, in which they expressed local excellence. A few years later, Kristalia was already a landmark in Italy and beyond. At the outset of the 21st century the company made the history of extending tables. In the second decade of the century it became one of the design firms that particularly attracted designers. A few years ago it also opened up to the world of hospitality contract supplies.
