B&B Italia outdoor - Mirto Outdoor square table

The Mirto Outdoor tables are characterised by their purity of shape, timeless elegance and quality details. Available in numerous sizes, they come with light die-cast aluminium frames and a variety of tops: in painted aluminium, porcelain stoneware, and glazed lava stone tiles decorated with reproductions of traditional Sicilian lace. This latest version uses a special material for the decoration, obtained by shattering the glass of monitors and discarded electronic instruments, and applying it to the surface of the tiles through an exclusive manufacturing process. Mirto Outdoor is a complete series of outdoor furniture inclusive of chairs, small armchairs, loungers, small tables, consoles and other furnishings.

Available in the following sizes: L90cm x P90cm x H73cm, L150cm x P1050cm x H73cm, L160cm x P160cm x H73cm. The version with dimension L162cm x P162cm x H73cm is available only in lava stone version.

Antonio Citterio

Born in Meda in 1950, he opened his own design studio in 1972 and graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996 he was associated with Terry Dwan; together they built buildings in Europe and Japan. In 2000, with Patricia Viel, he founded a design company, active at an international level, which develops complex design programs, at all scales and in synergy with a qualified network of specialist consultancies.

The studio has now assumed the name of “Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel”. In the industrial design sector he currently collaborates with Italian and foreign companies such as Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec (Geberit Group), Technogym and Vitra. Another important fact, in 1987 and 1994 Antonio Citterio was awarded the Compasso d'Oro-ADI. Since 2006 he has been teaching architectural design at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture (Switzerland). In 2008 he received the honor "Royal Designer for Industry" from the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in London.
