B&B Italia outdoor - Erica '19 chair with armrests

Curved and enveloping, the Erica ‘19 chair for outdoor use has a polyester powder painted aluminium frame and a backrest characterised by an exclusive interlacing. Refined colour combinations include a single-colour or two-colours for the frame and interlacing. The seat cushion comes in a wide range of fabric covers. In addition to chairs, the Erica ‘19 collection also includes sofas and armchairs.

The chair is available in the following versions: sage painted aluminum frame and natural polypropylene fiber weave; anthracite painted aluminum frame and anthracite polypropylene fiber weave; frame in taupe painted aluminium and weave in dove grey polypropylene fibre; colour profiles natural, blue, red, cream white, dark grey or aquamarine.

Antonio Citterio

Born in Meda in 1950, he opened his own design studio in 1972 and graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996 he was associated with Terry Dwan; together they built buildings in Europe and Japan. In 2000, with Patricia Viel, he founded a design company, active at an international level, which develops complex design programs, at all scales and in synergy with a qualified network of specialist consultancies.

The studio has now assumed the name of “Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel”. In the industrial design sector he currently collaborates with Italian and foreign companies such as Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec (Geberit Group), Technogym and Vitra. Another important fact, in 1987 and 1994 Antonio Citterio was awarded the Compasso d'Oro-ADI. Since 2006 he has been teaching architectural design at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture (Switzerland). In 2008 he received the honor "Royal Designer for Industry" from the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in London.
