Its fully padded seat is accompanied by a metal frame backrest that supports the original weave, creating a special play of fullness and emptiness. The large weave pattern, made of twisted polyethylene fibres, makes the design unique, respecting the idea of lightness, transparency and puts the furnishings in an open “dialogue” with the surrounding environment.

Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo (Spain) in 1961, currently living and working in Milan. He attended the faculty of architecture at the Polytechnic of Madrid and then at the Polytechnic of Milan, where he graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. From 1990 to 1992 he was assistant to Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli at the courses held in Milan and Paris. From 1990 to 1996 he worked in the product development department for De Padova, collaborating with Vico Magistretti. In 1996 he coordinated the design team of Lissoni associati. In 2001 he opened his own design studio where he deals with design, fittings and architecture.
