The Skot lamp was developed in the early 1900s by LK (Lauritz Knudsen). Originally designed for ships and maritime areas, it was also widely used in environments that required a compact and robust design. The LED version was launched in 2012.

Christian Flindt (1972-) graduated with an MAA and MDD from Aarhus School of Architecture in 2002. He then started his own design company in 2003.
