In the Mediterraneo collection by Francesco Meda, each piece is characterised by a teak frame which, expertly treated, gives an essential, simple and natural touch. The enveloping backrests and curved shapes, enriched with important cushions, evoke a feeling of softness and elegance and seem to embrace those who sit on them, amplifying an experience of comfort.
Francesco Meda
Born in Milan in 1984. Graduated in 2006 from Milan’s Istituto Europeo of Design in Industrial Design. The designer gained experience in London working at Sebastian Bergne’s studio and later at Ross Lovegrove's. Since his return to Milan in 2008 he has been collaborating with his father Alberto Meda on projects for clients such as Kartell and Caimi Brevetti. Concurrently he has been pursuing his own personal Art and Design projects with other companies and galleries such Nilufar Gallery, Hong Kong’s Schoeni Art Gallery, Henraux, Kartell, Rossana Orlandi Gallery, Mint Gallery in London,Tod's, Ferragamo, Molteni&C, GandiaBlasco, Zucchetti. His “Orme Cinesi” collection, which has been extensively published, was exhibited in Hong Kong at the Lane Crawford store, and was presented by Schoeni Art Gallery during the 2012/2013 Hong Kong ART fair. In 2013 he co-designed "Flap", an acoustic panel produced by Caimi Brevetti which subsequently won the "Compasso d'Oro" award. In the same year he began his own production with objects such as LED lamps, marble tables, benches and 3D printed jewelry. Bridge lamps and the 3D jewelry series are part of the Triennale Design Museum collection.

Gervasoni was founded in 1882 and is currently manage to the third generation of the family with Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni.

It is an established player in the world of indoor and outdoor furniture. Gervasoni crossed the new frontiers of avant-garde and innovation in the 1990s thanks to the eclectic and unconventional creativity of Paola Navone, who will become the creator of some of its most iconic collections and artistic director until 2020.
Collaboration with some of the most qualified designers such as Paola Navone-the company's artistic director-Marco Piva, Michael Sodeau, and Jasper Startup guarantees the aesthetic quality of the products and continuous experimentation with new materials.
In addition, sustainability is a commitment that the company pursues at all stages of the production cycle. The commitment to the environment is recognized by several environmental certifications: the UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality Certification, the UNI EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification, and the OHSAS 18001 Worker Health and Safety Management Certification.
Currently, Gervasoni collections are distributed in more than seventy countries around the world, and 75% of sales come from export.
