Vitra - Rookie office chair leather

Rookie is a small, agile and – by office standards – unconventionally simple chair. It provides a high level of immediate comfort with a minimal number of adjustments. Both the seat and backrest of Rookie are height-adjustable. In addition to these classic functions of a task chair, other ergonomic features are directly incorporated into Rookie's structural design: the backrest flexes slightly when pressure is applied, and the front edge of the seat is unusually pliant.

The KGID studio is located in the center of Munich, in southern Germany, where 6 product designers and 1 personal assistant work. The studio specializes in several fields of design, ranging from furniture design to commissioned works such as architectural projects. Known for producing the works of important designers and architects.The headquarters are located in Weil am Rhein, Germany, where the famous Vitra Design Museum is also located.This story starts in the post-war years, when two Americans, both architects, Charles and Ray Eames, decided to help a furniture dealer.The collaboration led them to design and then produce masterpieces for interior design, which are still very current today.
