Alessi - Anna G Limited Edition Corkscrew

To celebrate the iconic pair of corkscrews designed by her father Alessandro, Fulvia Mendini has imagined a fairy tale set in an oak forest where the two characters dance in an endless search for desires and secrets. In this limited edition, made in only nine pieces plus one artist’s proof, Anna G. sports a headdress with a spinning propeller and a golden key hanging from a gold chain around her neck, and is adorned with an exclusive PVD finish in shades of pink.

Alessandro Mendini

Alessandro Mendini; architect and designer from Milan, deals mainly with neo-modern and contemporary design. His research focuses on the design of furniture, environments, architecture and installations. The chorality of his projects has as a trait d'union an eccentric taste for the combination of contrasting elements reworking ideas and ideas apparently antithetical. In collaboration with Alessi, Philips, Swarovski and Swatch he has designed iconic pieces that have enriched the world design landscape. In addition to this, for the Cappellini catalogue, Mendini creates the Proust armchair and its new upholstery variant, Proust Geometrica.
In 1979 and 1981 he won the Compasso d'oro for design, he also received the Architectural League of New York and the Honorary Degree at the Politecnico di Milano and the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, in France.

Fulvia Mendini

Fulvia Mendini, born in Milan in 1966, lives and works in the city. After studying at the Istituto Europeo di Design, she collaborated with the Atelier Mendini and began a personal artistic exploration focused on nature and portraiture. Her style blends Graphic Design and the Arts and Crafts tradition. She has exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris, the Triennale in Milan, and the Prague Biennale. Her works are in the collection of the Byblos Art Hotel in Verona and the Art Stations in Naples. Since 2019, she has been managing the archive and studio of her father, Alessandro Mendini, with her sister Elisa. "This decor consists of oak leaves, a canopy that becomes a tree dress in shades of green and pink. I imagined Anna G. and Alessandro M. as characters living in the enchanted forest of ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream,’ dancing among fairy flowers."
