The Sicily is my love collection is decorated with the Sicilian cart motif and with different colors of ovals that contain the unique flavors of the Mediterranean: There are in fact represented golden yellow lemons, oranges of Sicily, fire red cherries of Etna. Smeg is an Italian family business based in Guastalla (RE) that has been manufacturing home appliances since 1948. It has subsidiaries worldwide, alongside overseas sales offices, and an extensive sales parnter network. Vittorio Bertazzoni Sr founded SMEG (an acronym for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla) in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia, in Italy. In 1985 Smeg began a collaboration with architect Guido Canali to design ovens and cooktops. Design, for Smeg, is central: the way that a product communicates with its surroundings, and enables users to interact with it.
