Alessi - Vabene taste pasta

Is a practical and original tool designed by Miriam Mirri to control the cooking of pasta in all its formats, such as spaghetti, linguine, penne, fusilli... Thanks to the large and slightly concave shape of the cup, Vabene can be used to test different foods for consistency and size, such as vegetables, legumes or eggs.

Miriam Mirri

Italian designer, she was born in Bologna. She lives and works in Milan where since 2010 her office is based. She studied design and communication at the Università del Progetto. She collaborated with several design companies; she worked with Stefano Giovannoni until 1999. In 2000 she began her freelance designer activity; she designed houseware, pets accessories, day and night objects, watches, complements and furniture collaborating among others with Alessi. She took part in national and international exhibitions. She has held design-workshop at the Università del Progetto and at the Domus Academy in Milan and presented her works at some design master course.

Alessi founded in 1921 as a Workshop for the processing of brass and nickel-silver plates, with foundry, it is recognized for the high quality of its products. In nearly a century of history it has gradually evolved to become a leading exponent of the "Factories of Italian design".
