NasonMoretti - Borgogna Burlesque chalice

Buy the entire Burlesque collection, created in collaboration with architect and designer Stefano Marcato. It is so called because of the liveliness of the colour combinations that recall the comedy and euphoria typical of the show. The Burgundy goblet, convex and wide to enhance the aroma of red wines, is thus made into an original design object, thanks also to the combination of transparencies and opaque colours.

Stefano Marcato

Born on the island of Murano in 1953, Stefano Marcato studied and graduated from college in restoration architecture in Venice. His professional activity has since been divided between the restoration of the Venetian urban pattern, which included historic buildings, with a particular care for the conservation of the heritage of the city, and creative glass design thanks to his collaboration with the glassworks of Effetre group, where he worked with internationally renowned glassmakers, acquiring knowledge and experience in the field. From 1980, regarding the branch of lighting, he has been connected with Paf, which later became Italiana Luce and is now Nemo. For some years, he has been collaborating with NasonMoretti, for which he designs collections of glasses, objects and decorative lamps, following the traditions of the ancient techniques used to shape glass, combined with the evolution of a modern style.

NasonMoretti

NasonMoretti was born in 1923, in a period of great success for Italian visual arts. The company was ground-breaking compared with the emerging artistic trends: its chalices and glasses soon become the undisputed reference for the Venetian "ART OF THE TABLE". It has decorated the tables of the most prestigious lineages but also those of the everyday life with a special taste for refinement. NasonMoretti's fame spread nationally and internationally during the fifties, until 1955 when the firm won the second edition of the Compasso d'Oro award. NasonMoretti's peculiarity is its ability to represent a cultural avant-garde, able to pick up influences and contaminations typical of the world of art and design. This characteristic has promoted numerous collaborations with famous Italian and foreign fashion brands such as Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta and Hermès, but also with jewellers like Tiffany & Co., luxurious restaurants and bakeries as Harry's Bar and Gualtiero Marchesi, exclusive clubs in London, royalties and the Quirinale, proclaiming NasonMoretti's fame by virtue of simplicity, which has marked this family brand for 100 years.
