Gardeco - Elle & Lui Sculpture

Elle & Lui by Guy Buseyne is an elegant duo of bronze figurines. At first glance, it may not be clear how they are related to each other, but their body language, as well as the name of the artwork – Elle & Lui, French for her & him – suggest this is a portrait of two lovers. The figures radiate a sense of mutual understanding and trust, which conveys an intimate atmosphere. Our bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method. Guy Buseyne

Guy Buseyne (1961) is a sculptor born and living in Belgium, skilled manufacturer of furniture and graphics. He trained in Plastic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of the city of Bruges. Buseyne’s work consists of sculptures depicting human beings in a society subject to multiple challenges, natural and man-made disasters, and trying to overcome them. The facial expressions in his projects are undefined, which enhances the universal character of the pieces and arouses a greater sense of identification in the viewer.
