Gardeco - Lucifer To Excite Sculpture
Lucifer is a diptych work of two sculptures in bronze and wood named To Excite and To Stimulate, by the Belgian artist Ann Vrielinck. The artwork is reminiscent of smouldering matchsticks that were lit only a few moments ago. It represents the intensity of excitement and the quiet and calm feelings that follow. Those who look more closely can observe human like figures in the smoke. The slender form of the figurines conveys a fragile but vivid presence. Our bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method. Lucifer To Stimulate – To Excite are limited edition bronze sculptures, each piece is numbered and signed.
Ann Vrielinck
The sculptor Ann Vrielinck (1966) was born not far from the beautiful city of Bruges, Belgium. He studied Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges and later earned an academic degree in Painting at the Sint-Lucas School of Arts in Gent. Vrielinck’s works of art are snapshots of the human body in motion and of communication and interaction between humans. The faces of Ann’s sculptures are barely defined, which enhances the universal character of the pieces and arouses a greater sense of identification in the viewer.
