Gardeco - Wings Sculpture
Wings is an artwork in bronze created by the former Belgian ballet dancer Cornelius Vandeputte. The piece refers to the ballet and orchestral concert work The Firebird by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky. Wings exudes elegance, strength and delicacy and represents the fury of the natural elements. The base of the work is strong, virile, masculine, whilst the upper body is slim, seductive and fragile. Our bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method. Wings is a limited edition bronze sculpture, each piece is numbered and signed.
Cornelius Vandeputte
Guy Buseyne (1961) is a sculptor born and living in Belgium, skilled manufacturer of furniture and graphics. He trained in Plastic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of the city of Bruges. Buseyne’s work consists of sculptures depicting human beings in a society subject to multiple challenges, natural and man-made disasters, and trying to overcome them. The facial expressions in his projects are undefined, which enhances the universal character of the pieces and arouses a greater sense of identification in the viewer.
