Oluce - AgnoliOluce - Agnoli floor lamp

The company was founded in 1945 by Giuseppe Ostuni: the 387 model, always called only "Agnoli", named after its designer Tito Agnoli, was born in 1954 and is, therefore, the most historic piece in the catalog today. Anticipating minimalism, the Agnoli lamp adopts the "Cornalux" bulb. This is able to direct the light in an absolutely precise way, mounting it on a sliding mechanism on a tige. The sophisticated travertine base is the element that can add a touch of sophistication to an object in which simplicity and functionality are transformed into poetry.

Tito Agnoli

Tito Agnoli was born in Peru, Italy, in 1931. A trained painter, he returned to Italy after the war and studied with Sironi, before graduating in Architecture in 1959. He became an assistant to Gio Ponti and Carlo de Carlo and from the early 1950s onwards collaborated with a number of prestigious Italian design companies. He had been nominated several times for the Compasso d'Oro and in 1986 won the Compasso d'Oro at the Neocon in Chicago. Some of his pieces are held in the collection of MoMa in New York.
