Artemide - La Petite floor lamp black

The Petite is characterized by an archetype lampshade balanced on an inclined stem.  Starting from the table version, presented in 2015, the family expands to include a wall and floor version. The compositional principles remain unchanged. Simple elements combined with elegance to impress in their geometric composition correspond to elementary shapes combined with different materials for technological reasons. Even in such a seemingly simple and essential lamp the know-how of Artemide is expressed: the attention to every detail of the object is combined with attention to the quality of light. The lampshade is in fact a light plastic volume closed by two diffusers that produce a pleasant soft direct and indirect light. While the joint supports the lampshade on a minimum support point by connecting it to the aluminum stem. These simple elements define a simple and elegant set where the inclination of the stem is balanced by the volume of the lampshade.

Quaglio Simonelli

Quaglio Simonelli was born from the meeting of Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli, both graduates of the University of Reggio Emilia Project, with study based in Paris. After their debut alongside Philippe Starck, with whom they collaborated for two years, they founded their design studio, developing an activity that extends to different fields of creation. They design technological products, create lamps, furniture and furnishing accessories, conceive identity and design for cosmetic brands, alternating industrial logic and craftsmanship. Their creations feed on their history, the creative gaze they direct on the world around them and the mutations they love to provoke you. And this is how they conceive objects with a familiar appearance infected by unexpected and poetic elements. Many are the awards that reward their design (Red Dot Product Design Award, IF Product Design Award...). However, several of their products are now part of the collection of the National Contemporary Art Fund of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
