FontanaArte - Oort floor lamp

The OORT system is composed of tubular elements in borosilicate glass, inside which are placed light tubes with LED lights of last generation, easily replaceable, with a perfectly uniform 360° light emission and certified also for outdoor environments. Borosilicate glass is striped internally, a trick that enhances the light making it warm and welcoming, highlights the effect of lights and shadows and allows easy cleaning of the smooth external surface. The light is diffused and dimmable, available at 3000K (1900Lm/m) or Dim To Warm. In the Dim To Warm tubes, the color temperature changes, depending on the dimming, from 1800K up to 4000K at maximum intensity. The flow is in function of dimming up to a maximum of 1000Lm/m. On request it is possible to supply the product at 2700K.

Jacopo Roda

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, born in 1967, Jacopo Roda lived in Florence where he breathed the world of art and crafts. In the same period his passion for photography and light was born, considering it a fundamental element for his photos and finding in it the perfect combination of art and technique. Passionate about lighting and design, after some experiences as a designer, in 2006 he landed in fontanaarte where he now holds the role of Project Manager and where he developed many successful projects in collaboration with designers.

Fontana Arte specializes in glass processing and the manufacture of furnishing accessories. Founded in 1881 in Milan by Luigi Fontana, it began as an industry producing glass sheets for building purposes. It had Giò Ponti, Pietro Chiesa and Max Ingrand as artistic directors. It gained notoriety especially for its processing of curved crystal and production of lighting applies. Lighting is also design; numerous brands make it possible to combine functionality with aesthetics, making lamps, wall sconces, and spotlights true pieces of furniture. Among them is FontanArte, which has marked the history of lighting design. In over than 80 years of activity, the brand has received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'oro Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998, given by the ADI - Association for Industrial Design: "thanks to the collaboration with different designers, has been able to create a lively creative climate that has upgraded one of the historical names of Italian design.
