Gianfranco Bestetti, founder of Bestetti Associati, started his career more than thirty years ago, He began as a project manager for B&B Italia world wide stores. In 1989 he joined the family business developing the architecture sector and foreign projects. In 1995 he began his collaboration with Boffi kitchens as marketing manager and develops and consolidates its image in mono brand and multi-brand stores, both in Italy and abroad.
Trained in the creative circles of Italian design and architecture, appreciated professional, he works since the early years of his career with the biggest names in the Italian design and fashion industry.
In 2000 he joined the staff of the Lissoni Associati studio with which he collaborated until 2003, when he set up his own associated studio with Antonella Terzoli, finance and logistics manager. Attentive to new trends and stylistic contaminations, he actively collaborates with companies that over the years have relied on his work as Poliform where he coordinates architectural image and projects for sale from 2005 to 2013. Bestetti Associati now boasts numerous graphic and visual architecture projects around the world for companies such as: Paola Lenti, MDF Italia, Baxter, Molteni & C, Dada, Samsung, Candy Group, Cleaf and Giorgetti.

From the end of the eighties, starting from a very small laboratory in the historic center of Piacenza, he invents and produces lamps with the homonymous brand. Over time, creative and entrepreneurial independence has allowed him to develop original and recognizable projects, distributed all over the world. Projects that come from the heart and the brain, intuitions that emerge from a certain way of being and thinking, where simplicity, lightness, emotion, invention and amazement are the fundamental elements. Davide Groppi's lamps arise from the need to give shape to a need or a meaning. His inspirations are art, ready-mades, magic, the desire to make things with your hands or simply the desire to play and joke with light. For Davide Groppi, light is a wonderful opportunity to seduce and excite. Davide Groppi has always worked with a close-knit group of collaborators, with whom he shares all the ideas.

Over his many years of activity, he has developed projects and fitting along with several design companies including: De Padova, Boffi, Paola Lenti and Christofle. There are countless works around the world: houses, shops, museums. Significant activity in the hospitality sector. Some of the most important starred chefs have chosen Davide Groppi's light for their restaurants: Albert Adrià, Massimo Bottura, Massimiliano Alajmo, Moreno Cedroni, Carlo Cracco, Gennaro Esposito, Giancarlo Perbellini, Ciccio Sultano and many others. Davide Groppi's work has been repeatedly recognized through publications and awards. We remember the Edida Award, in 2011, for the Sampei lamp; the Design Plus Award, in 2014, for the Neuro lamp; the double XXIII ADI Compasso d'Oro, in 2014, for the Nulla and Sampei lamps; and the ADI Compasso D'Oro Mention of Honour Award for Tetatet, in 2016. The ADI Compasso d'Oro Award is considered the most historic and prestigious design award in the world. From June 2019, Sampei lights up the "Studio alla Vetrata" of the President of the Republic, as part of the "Quirinale Contemporaneo" project.
