Alessi - KU flat plate 4 pcs

The KU porcelain tableware is one of the first projects for series production by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito. Ito won the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2013, the Nobel Prize for architecture. The soft, almost nuanced forms of the KU service find expression in the flat plate. Toyo Ito’s essential but poetic style makes the dish suitable for those who want an elegant table but never overdone. The KU Dish Service is made of white porcelain.

Toyo Ito

After graduating from Tokyo University in 1965, in 1971 he founded his own studio Toyo Ito & Associates, Architects. He has received numerous awards, including the Golden Lion of the International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, the Royal Gold Medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Pritzker Architecture Prize. In the 70s, he tried to erase the conventional meaning of his works through minimalist tactics, to then develop a lightness in an architecture that resembles air and wind.
