Twils - Otto coffee table H46/56

A small, surprising work of design invention. Otto is a coffee table built around the geometry of the right angle. Ninety degrees of functional precision, a complement that embraces with precision and simplicity the geometry of the parallelepiped, in this case the sofa. The proximity between the softness of the sofa and the metal structure of Otto solve the natural gesture of extending an arm to support a book, a glass, a plate. Otto is close by, at hand. Stable in the base, it is a metal structure that embraces the padded to add functions that take place without thinking. Usually there is no intelligent response to the gesture of reaching for an arm. Now, however, the answer is there.

Matteo Ragni

Matteo Ragni graduated in architecture from Politecnico di Milano. In 2001, he was one of the youngest Compasso d'Oro winners at age 29, with the disposable cutlery Moscardino, designed along with Giulio Iacchetti. In 2014 he was assigned a second Compasso d’Oro, again with Giulio Iacchetti, for the design of a series of manhole covers for Montini. In 2008 he won the Wallpaper Design Award'08 for the Leti table lamp/bookshelf produced by Danese. Also in 2008, he founded TobeUs, a brand of wooden toy cars handcrafted in Italy. Alongside his work as a designer, he is a lecturer at several international universities, an art director and an architect. Recently published by Corraini publishing house is the volume "Camparisoda.
