Bonaldo - Combination low coffee table

The union of circle, rectangle and half sphere creates an object whose perception and interpretation vary according to the observer’s point of view. Combination is in all respects an always original element, with a variable character: observing it frontally the rectangular element seems very large; the same element observed on the side appears extremely thin. Combination is a coffee table available in two different heights and in several finishes of painted metal, including the refined colors bronze, lead, pearl gold and platinum.

Alain Gilles

Born in 1970 in Brussels (Belgium). After studying Political Science and Marketing Management, Alain Gilles began his career in the financial world. Later, he began studying industrial design in France. To pursue his dreams and develop an individual approach to design, art direction and interior architecture, in 2007 he founded his own studio.

In 2012, Alain Gilles was named "Designer of the Year" during the prestigious Interieur fair in Courtrai. A backbone of Bonaldo’s evolutionary path that has marked great successes such as the Big Table, icon of international design and today at its tenth anniversary. Among the other successful pieces made for Bonaldo in more than ten years of collaboration, the Welded table, which in 2013 received the "Red dot: best of the best" award among the best design projects. The Eddy relax armchair, presented at the Salone del Mobile 2017, received the mention Honoree at the "Best of Year Award".

Bonaldo

In 1936 Giovanni Vittorio Bonaldo started out specialising in the processing of metals used in the furnishing industry. Through this, he developed remarkable manual skills and a profound knowledge of the techniques and materials. This wealth of skills was the “starting point” for the history of the company. 1958s was the initial stage of industrial activity. The company specialised in the production of iron beds, bed bases and mattresses. This type of product allowed the company to develop a wealth of knowledge and crucial operative methods for its success. 1996 is the year of the first international awards. The Più folding chair, designed by Chiaramonte and Marin, won the Young & Design Award. Another iconic product is the Poly chair, designed by the Egyptian architect Karim Rashid, thanks to its geometric design, young and original wins numerous awards. After the recent opening of the spaces in Beirut, Tsingtao, Shanghai and Taipei, Bonaldo opens a showroom in Moscow and another in Valencia: a milestone in the global expansion plan of the "Total Look" made in Italy by Bonaldo.
