Iconic design object designed by designer Aldo Rossi. The clean and geometric shapes of Aldo Rossi’s projects, a constant presence in many of his architectural designs, were eventually transformed into real objects, to be touched and used, imposing themselves as icons of the 80s home landscape.

Aldo Rossi

Born in 1931, he studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, where he enrolled in 1949 and graduated in 1959 under the guidance of Master Piero Portaluppi. Already in his university years, after having met Ernesto Nathan Rogers who started him to collaborate with the magazine Casabella (1950 - 1964). He then began his apprenticeship in the studies of Ignazio Gardella and Marco Zanuso and participated in the editorial staff of the magazine Società e Il Contemporaneo.

Alessi founded in 1921 as a Workshop for the processing of brass and nickel-silver plates, with foundry, it is recognized for the high quality of its products. In nearly a century of history it has gradually evolved to become a leading exponent of the "Factories of Italian design".
